CRA Director, Victoria Sabelnik represented the Congress of Russian Americans at the Philippine Independence Day celebration, which was held at the Marines Memorial Theater in San Francisco on June 9.

She attended the reception at the Philippine Consulate, hosted by Philippine Consul General and Mrs. Henry Bensurto, Jr.  Philippine Consul General has been an avid supporter and participant in CRA events, starting with providing their venue for a month long exhibit on the White Russian camp in Tubabao.

Both Consul General Bensurto and his wife flew to Anchorage, AK in March to also support CRA’s exhibit on Tubabao.   Other consul generals and representatives of numerous world embassies were represented at the reception.  But, Consul General Bensurto commented that with no Russian Consulate now in San Francisco, they were very pleased that Congress of Russian Americans represented the Russian community with whom they have always shared very friendly and warm relations.
