Performance of the Russian epic “Bogatyri and Byliny” organized by the youth chapter.

April 25, 2024 By cra-admin

On April 13, in the golden room, Russian Center in SF a cultural event dedicated to the Russian epic “Bogatyrs and Bylinas” was held with the support of the Congress of Russian Americans. The Russian Center, as before, represented by its executive director Alexandra Sabelnik-Vuli, took on the mission of hosting organizations dear to its heart: “League of Russian-American Women”, “Cossack Union”, “Scout-Razvedchikov”, “Museum of Russian Culture”.Scout-Razvedchikov”, “Museum of Russian Culture”.
On this memorable day, children from St. Cyril and Methodius Gymnasium were reciting poems,  telling bylinas, bogatyrs and Russian history.
Matushka Marina Kaplanova did a great job organizing her students on this unforgettable day.
Children, born far away from Russia, transported everyone to Bylinnaya Rus. The literary evening was opened by Ekaterina Sabelnik-Snyder, a connoisseur of Russian epic.
Everyone listened with fascination to these interesting stories, supported by video with illustrations of paintings of great Russian artists: Vasnetsov, Ryabushkin, Roerich. Everyone will long remember this wonderful performance!
